The Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church divides the
state of Wisconsin into several districts, also known as "circuits".
Circuit 32 is the district made up of nine churches in and around
the Sheboygan county area. The United Methodist churches which
make up Circuit 32 include:
St. Luke - Sheboygan, WI Fountain Park - Sheboygan, WI
Wesley - Sheboygan, WI Faith - Sheboygan Falls, WI
Trinity - Waldo, WI New Hope - Greenbush
Bethel - New Holstein, WI
First - Campbellsport, WI
Zion - Batavia, WI
The Circuit 32 Laity Committee was formed in 2005 based on the
work of Stephen J. Polster in his work entitled, "A Growing
Sense of Urgency". In his writing, Stephen Polster states,
"Our hope is that, by tackling these efforts [to form a plan
that moves our congregations from decline to growth] as teams
rather than individual clergy and individual congregations, we
will discover new ideas, new skills and renewed energy (some call
it synergy) to fulfill the Great Commission and the mission of
our Annual Conference to, "Make Disciples of Jesus Christ".
The Laity Committee is made-up of representatives from each of
the churches from the 32nd circuit. The group's mission statement
describes it best. "Circuit 32 is a United Methodist community
of faith in service to all. By joining together we are strengthened
to accomplish more than we can do individually."
The Circuit 32 committee meets the 4th Monday of every month at
Faith United Methodist Church in Sheboygan Falls with Pastor Gail
Mitchell serving as our advisor. Please use the link at the left
