NOISY OFFERING BEGINS NEXT SUNDAY
Our Wisconsin United Methodist Annual Conference is June 8 - 11
in Middleton. The mission "In-Gathering" includes the
collection of 1 million pennies for education and prevention of
global AIDS. 25% of the monies collected will remain in Wisconsin.
Beginning next Sunday we will receive a "NOISY COIN OFFERING"
over three Sundays to join our sister congregations in this great
effort. Bring your change and make a noisy difference.
St. Luke's valet parking ends with today's worship. Our
south parking lot is now available but should be used primarily
by those requiring near-by parking. You must enter and exit by
6th street. Thank you to the individuals who have served as St.
Luke's Valet drivers.
Deb Van Straten is Shelly Nelson's sister and has been
included in our prayers for several months. Deb suffers from Relapsing
Polychondritis (RPC) which is a rare episodic and progressive
multi-system inflammatory rheumatic disease and can be life-threatening,
debilitating and difficult to diagnose. There is a benefit for
Deb in Appleton on May 30. In an act of congregational caring
we invite you to share a donation to help with Deb's enormous
medical bills. Though largely symbolic, our gifts remind us of
Jesus' words, that, "As you have done it unto one of these,
you have done it unto me". We can't do everything but we
can do something. You will find the donation box at the back of
the church.
