Membership: How to Join St. Luke United Methodist Church
Welcome! Wherever you are in your journey of faith, you are welcome here at St. Luke.
You do not have to join in order to participate in worship, many areas of serving or groups. If you are ready to make an initial commitment or an ongoing commitment to follow Christ, membership is an excellent way to live out that promise.
The Membership Process:
Ways to Join
Baptism
The Sacrament of Baptism is a requirement to join the United Methodist Church. If you have ever been baptized in another Christian denomination, that baptism is acceptable and there is no need to be re-baptized. Read more about baptism in the United Methodist Church.
* If you have been baptized at any point in your life, it is not necessary to be baptized again. If not, baptism is a required part of joining the church.
For more information or questions on how to join, contact Pastor Cindy Thompson at 920-458-3461.

The Membership Process:
- Step 1: Participate in the next New Member Class.
Call the church office at (920) 458-3461 to register for the next upcoming class. This is a six-session class using “A Disciple’s Path,” which focuses on the spiritual practices that will help you grow in your faith and prepare you to find your place in ministry at St. Luke. The sessions are based on our 5 membership vows as United Methodists: To uphold my church with my “Prayers, Presence, Gifts, Service and Witness.” This will help you on your journey as a disciple of Christ. - Step 2: Recite the vows that you will make to Christ and the Church.
After the series, the class participates in the joining vows in worship at the worship service they regularly attend.
