Membership: How to Join St. Luke United Methodist Church
Welcome! Wherever you are in your journey of faith, you are welcome here at St. Luke.
You do not have to join in order to participate in worship, many areas of serving or groups. However, we believe that joining the church is a formal recognition of an inward call and experience of God's grace to be a part of a Christian community. If you are ready to make an initial commitment or an ongoing commitment to follow Christ, membership is an excellent way to live out that promise.
The Membership Process:
Ways to Join
Baptism
The Sacrament of Baptism is a requirement to join the United Methodist Church. If you have ever been baptized in another Christian denomination, that baptism is acceptable and there is no need to be re-baptized. Read more about baptism in the United Methodist Church.
* If you have been baptized at any point in your life, it is not necessary to be baptized again. If not, baptism is a required part of joining the church.
For more information or questions on how to join, contact Pastor Ruth Hallstead at [email protected], or call the church office.
