Ushers and Greeters

The Usher/Greeter Ministry Team at St. Luke Church is a team of dedicated, friendly individuals who are committed fulfilling the mission of St. Luke Church to “Connect, Grow, and Serve, by Loving God, Loving Others, and Serving the Community”. To become an usher or greeter, please contact Betsy Rogers at St. Luke by calling (920) 458-3461.

Greeters

• Provide a welcome handshake
• Are the first voice, the first interaction that our church family and guests experience
• Takes an interest in people
• Introduce guests to other church members
• Distributes Welcome Packets to guests
• Are prepared to answer questions that guests may have

Ushers

• Represent the church in a very visible way and help set the tone in preparation for the worship service as well as assist with the smoother operation of the service
• Greet every person entering the church
• Assist people to their destination and present people information on Sunday morning activities and other important information about the church property
• Assist in preparing the church for worship
• Create a friendly, cheerful and courteous atmosphere
• Promote a good impression for regular worshipers and guests
• Demonstrate a willingness to serve and assist all members and guests
• Are knowledgeable about as many areas and church functions as possible
• Are aware of current church announcements and activities
• Assist in the order of worship of the church
